Features A distinctive Belgian dark malt, created through a specialised double roasting process.
Characteristics It provides a deep red to dark brown-black hue and a fuller body, with a unique flavour and aroma. Adds rich colour and a raisin-like taste, along with a malty richness and subtle hints of nut and plum. Can be used as a substitute for Chocolate and Black malt when less bitterness is preferred.
Usage Ideal for Abbey ales, dubbels, porters, brown ales, and doppelbocks. Can be used in up to 10% of the grain bill.
